We have another brilliant client in Waterford, another client we just love to represent here at IDJ! We know we say this a lot but it’s true, all of our clients we work with truly are great to work for. This is a well-established general practice that has been serving its community since 2002, and they're on the lookout for a talented Dental Hygienist to join their close-knit team.
About the Practice
This is a warm, friendly four-surgery practice that truly caters for everyone — from the youngest patients to the oldest members of their community. They offer a full range of treatments, from prevention right through to implant-supported restorations, so you'll be working in a genuinely comprehensive general practice environment. With seven team members including two dental hygienists, a dentist, and experienced dental nurses who double up on reception, this is a tight, well-functioning team where everyone knows their stuff.
The practice itself is super clean, bright and airy — the kind of place you'll actually enjoy coming to work every day. Practically speaking, it's located just a few kilometres from the city centre, with free parking on the doorstep and easy access to the ring road.
The Role
This is a part time salaried position, and they're hoping to have their new hygienist in place by mid-June 2025. Hours are 9:15 to 1:00 and 2:00 to 5:30, and the practice runs on Exact software, so familiarity with that is a bonus. Overtime is paid if and when it's needed, and you'll be paid weekly.
What They're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a qualified dental hygienist (RDH) with a few years of experience under their belt. Beyond the clinical skills, they're really looking for someone who is prompt, takes pride in their work, is a genuine team player, and — most importantly — really cares about their patients.
